Bruce Barkett is an AV-rated lawyer who began practicing in 1979 in Tallahassee as an Assistant Attorney General handling civil rights and environmental litigation. He became Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Natural Resources
in 1984. He later joined the Indian River County Attorney’s office
and handled land use, planning-and-zoning, eminent domain, and other matters. He has been with Collins Brown Caldwell Barkett Garavaglia & Lawn, Chartered since 1987. His practice includes real estate transactional work; land use, planning and zoning approvals; and contract, business, and general civil matters. He has also been certified by the Florida Supreme Court
as a circuit mediator, and maintains an active mediation practice, focusing on real estate, contract, and other circuit civil disputes.
