Real Estate Legal Assistant

Full-Time | In Person | Vero Beach, Florida

Compensation: $45,000–$60,000 per year

If you like the rhythm of real estate closings and the satisfaction of having every piece in place before closing day, this may be a good fit. You would work closely with our attorneys and clients throughout the loan closing process — keeping several transactions moving at once and everyone informed along the way.

We are looking for someone organized, responsive, and comfortable being the person who knows exactly where each file stands. You will not be dropped in without support: our real estate team works closely together, and there is always someone to ask.

  • Opening new transaction files and ordering title searches, surveys, payoff statements, and other required documentation
  • Reviewing title commitments and identifying liens, judgments, easements, and other matters requiring attorney review
  • Drafting and preparing closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits
  • Coordinating with lenders, real estate agents, clients, and other counsel to confirm figures and satisfy closing requirements
  • Communicating with buyers, sellers, and agents to answer questions and help keep transactions on schedule
  • Scheduling closings, assembling document packages, and confirming wire instructions
  • Participating in closings with a supervising attorney, assisting clients with documents, and collecting required signatures
  • Completing post-closing responsibilities, including recording documents, coordinating the disbursement of funds, and sending final packages to clients and lenders
  • Maintaining complete and organized files
  • Tracking deadlines across multiple active transactions

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Two or more years of real estate experience
  • Experience with real estate transactions or loan closings
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple files, priorities, and deadlines
  • The ability to communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, lenders, agents, and other parties
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential legal and financial information
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
